If you require information in Totara that does not fit into one of the existing user profile fields you can create a custom field.
Creating Custom Fields
- Navigate to Site Administration > Users > Accounts > User profile fields
- Select the field type from the dropdown list
- Text Input
- Text Area
- Checkbox
- Dropdown
- The screen refreshes and you are presented with the Create new profile field screen
- Complete the mandatory fields

- Select Save Changes
NOTE: You are also able to create a new Category on the user profile page for your custom fields by selecting Create a new profile category
