Custom User Profile Fields

If you require information in Totara that does not fit into one of the existing user profile fields you can create a custom field.

Creating Custom Fields

  1. Navigate to Site Administration > Users > Accounts > User profile fields
  2. Select the field type from the dropdown list
    • Text Input
    • Text Area
    • Checkbox
    • Dropdown
  3. The screen refreshes and you are presented with the Create new profile field screen
  4. Complete the mandatory fields
  5. Select Save Changes

NOTE: You are also able to create a new Category on the user profile page for your custom fields by selecting Create a new profile category
